Background and Worldview: You are an apprentice who has stumbled into a witch’s hut. After spilling a pot of precious potions, you are turned into a frog by the witch. You must use the potion’s effects to run through a huge mill and enchanted forest, searching for the recipe for a “restoration potion.” The witch chases you through the air on a broomstick, constantly casting curses (slowing you down, reversing your direction, etc.). You need to collect herbs and insects in the mill to concoct temporary potions in different cauldrons.
Core Gameplay: As a frog, you can jump extremely high (swipe up and hold to charge) and stick to vertical surfaces (swipe down to briefly walk along a wall). You can “stick out your tongue” (tap the screen) to eat airborne insects, each providing one point of “potion value.” When you collect a combination of three herbs/insects, you can tap the cauldron in front of you to “blend,” obtaining a random or specified potion effect (such as growing larger and crushing obstacles, becoming invisible, or creating clones to confuse the witch).
Features: Fairytale style, bright yet eerie colors. The witch’s pursuit intensifies over time, and her curses grow louder in the background music. You can “set traps” (pull levers with your tongue to release fences) at certain locations to temporarily hinder the witch. Over 100 potion recipes await discovery. A “Potion Handbook” is supported to record all combinations.
